Lately, I’ve been feeling like I need help settling. Because the years are passing, I want the Kingdom of God to be reflected in my soul, not so much ‘what’s next,’ but so much to consider as this 55yro isn’t having a mid-life crisis, because I’m way past mid-life, I doubt I’ll live to be 110. I want to slow down, reflecting on the creative ways God has gifted me and not compare myself to the way He has gifted others and try to be like them. There is only one Jody Gates and He has gifted me with ideas, passions, and this one day to live. Real living is not just around the corner after I get married, or have children or land that dream job. I have determined real living is for today, because God owns tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1
Life cannot be compartmentalized. May His Kingdom come in our lives today as we each find the true beauty we were created to be…in the image of our Creator.
All of life is to be our spiritual life. We are to rejoice that as we create beauty as architects, or gardeners, farmers or cooks, we are doing what God made human beings capable of doing.
