Intersecting Life and Faith

The Saga Continues

All is quiet on the home front. My mom and friend Lori left this morning to return home to Iowa. No crying for me this morning because I will see her on Friday afternoon at her house. More on that later.

The time they were here had to be one of the best visits we’ve had with family and friends. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny and no rain or snow. We spent relaxed time drinking coffee around the dining room table, sitting on the back deck, lunch out and celebrated birthdays on the weekend. A visit to Lake Ontario and apple picking were highlights.

Hannah and Lauren, who had a half day of school on Friday, so she was able to have lunch with us and enjoy the afternoon.

As I said in a post last week on head spinning, the saga continues with my trip with Hannah across country to Arizona where she will live with her other grandma(Rob’s Mom) while she looks for a job. Yes, we will have two kids out west. As you can imagine my emotions are all over the place with kids leaving, mom coming and going, and now the trip of a lifetime with one of my daughters. JHKL are tattoed on my heart, but I love them enough to let them live their dreams and find their passion in life. I am ecstatic they are finding their own way with our Great God rather than the faith of their parents and that is exciting to watch as well. I hope you will check back often in the coming days as I attempt to catch the heart of our trip here.

I’m looking forward to coming back to New York where Rob, Kelsey and Lauren will be waiting and to see what God has planned for me next.
