Thank you to all who urge me to keep on writing as you comment about blog posts that are not happening as often as I would like. Blame it on summer I guess. This “big and brave post” has garnered some conversations. I did mean everything I said, but I certainly do not trust in my strength to trust God with those most important to me. I am weak, the Lord is strong.
As a follow-up to that particular post I wanted to give you an idea what Kopi Luwak is and what kind of coffee Hannah was given which we will enjoy together when she returns from Europe.
Wikipedia says Kopi Luwak “refers to the seeds of coffee berries once they have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus). The name is also used for marketing brewed coffee made from the beans.”
This coffee is the most expensive in the world. A gift from a diplomat she spent a few hours with while in Bali. She certainly could not afford to buy it as she backpacks. I can’t imagine this coffee tastes good, in fact the process is disgusting, but I will give it a try.
The last few weeks of a wonderful summer are on the horizon. Lauren begins high school volleyball practice next week with school beginning after Labor Day. Fall is my favorite season, much too short. It is my husband’s favorite time of the year too, going on to say it’s hard to enjoy sometimes as we know what we’re headed for here in the Northeast. This fall I will be back to a more routine schedule of writing here as I celebrate six years of writing at Jody Lynne.
My baby all grown up. I know it’s cliche’ to say “I blinked and she was in high school.” Just sayin…that’s how it happened.
