Intersecting Life and Faith

Psalm 67 for Syria

So often I see the news and thank God I live where I live. I may not like the politics of this present government and yes, our country has it’s problems. But I still live in a country where I am free and can practice those freedoms. I see the devastation of other countries and people groups, realizing I should be doing more than thanking God I live here and not there. Christians live in Egypt, Syria, Yemen, etc. It is my responsibility and privilege to pray for them and the country they live in.

May God be gracious to Syria and bless Syria,
and make his face to shine upon Syria, Selah
2 that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among Syria
…6 The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless Syria.

7 God shall bless Syria;

let all the ends of the earth fear him!

    This is very powerful! I have printed this out and posted it at work as reminder God’s work in our world.

    Beautiful! I think so many take it for granted where they live and also never would think to pray for another country, let alone a blessing on it!
