This post is for daughter Kelsey who faithfully reads my blog everyday, but says I need to post more pictures. Justin’s birthday was celebrated this past weekend along with Easter on Sunday.
Justin and Hannah drinking espresso together. Kelsey brought me an Italian espresso maker along with cups when she was in Italy several summers ago. After the Good Friday service we celebrated Justin’s birthday with Chicken Wing Dip and Baked Ham & Cheese Sandwiches. They were a hit. Sorry no pictures of the birthday boy that night, but he looks the same as he did in this picture. I made, per his request, Oreo Ice Cream Cake, my secret recipe!!
Saturday morning we rolled out of bed to be to Applebee’s by 7:30, sorry no pictures of that morning. It was a fundraiser for Lauren, who is going to LIFE 2013 with her youth group this summer. Saturday night the kitchen was hopping, with the girls cooking for Easter dinner, putting together a pinterest centerpiece and Rob in the middle of everything making chicken wings. I went to bed early, so no pics of Rob in the kitchen. He is a good cook, making his special potatoes and carving the ham for dinner.
This fruit salad was a favorite. So easy, purple and green grapes, with strawberries and blueberries and syrup. Pretty, Yummy Fruit Salad. Delish.
Olivia, Justin’s new puppy, got the most attention over the weekend. Who can resist a puppy. Even me, a farm girl from Iowa where ALL the animals lived outside, loves this dog. Not sure how long that will last…Olivia is 50% Great Dane.
