We love to celebrate Christmas. The music began a few days before Thanksgiving this year since the season is shorter. This white tree is our first artificial tree, making it’s appearance for the second time. I won’t be finding pine needles until Valentine’s Day and with it being pre-lit, I just take off the red and green ornaments, put a bag on it’s head and take it to the basement. It is beautiful reminding me that as the babe came in a manger, he came to make me whiter than snow.christmas tree

This ceramic nativity was given to us by dear friends almost 20 years ago. The donkey has lost his ears but the rest remains intact and is the center of all our celebrating.photo 1

Anybody have one of these? My parents sent it to us for Christmas one year. It holds a special place on our counter every year as I remember times spent with my mom and dad. My dad now wishes Jesus a Happy Birthday in person. photo 3And winter has arrived for us. This is a random picture I copied from Bing images, but this pretty much looks like Syracuse yesterday…and the day before…and today. I may have to re-think my Weather is Over-Rated post. 🙂
