I grew up in the midwest, so I’m a die hard Big 10 fan, although, the team I love to watch is the Kansas Jayhawks, for the time being anyway. I now live in Big East territory and may have to switch my loyalty to the Syracuse Orange. I made my first trip(two years ago) to the Dome in Syracuse. Watching it on tv just doesn’t cut it now that I’ve seen a game in person with over 25,000 screaming fans. The best part of that evening was spending it with a friend who loves Syracuse basketball.
As I’ve moved from Iowa to Kansas to Indiana to New York, I’ve watched in my rearview mirror as friends waved goodbye, never to be replaced. Every time I leave my faith in God that He will provide those same kind of friends is rattled. Why I have such little faith is a mystery because EVERY time God brings many people into my life making me very rich. God knows what I need more than I do.
Whether it is working in ministry together, drinking lots of coffee, hiking the hills, maybe the mountains someday, of upstate New York, cheering on basketball teams, or lunch on the weekend, my life is filled to the brim with all my loving Father gives…including college basketball.
