I know what you’re thinking…
You’re married to a Christian and a pastor who loves God and His Word, how hard can your marriage be?
Did you know the devil, yes he exists, devours marriages for lunch? And for dinner he has evangelical pastors and their families. (1 Peter 5:8 This verse is not referencing marriage specifically)
With President Obama’s latest declaration about marriage, the struggles of many couples I hear about on a regular basis and the divorce rate in and out of the Church, I’ve given a lot of thought to the subject in the past few months. And with the release of We All Married Idiots by one of my favorite authors, I have thought even more about my own marriage of almost 27 years.
In the coming days I will be writing from the very beginning, probably back to 1980, when I was just out of high school on my way to Bible college where I would meet my handsome prince.
These posts will be for those wanting to be married, those married or not, and for those wives who have followed their husbands in ministry..a unique path where I had no idea what I signed up for, but one I will never trade.
It was August 1980…
